ETSC NEPAL

ETSC is actively working with local government agency in all its targeted areas and within the district. ETSC Nepal has addressed the issues with ward office, municipality, local police and with other network organization and CBO’s. ETSC mobilize women groups, adolescence and men’s groups. Sharing information within the groups and in between agencies coordinates the efforts for better understanding to stop child marriage as well violence.

Women groups members participated in AHT learning sessions i.e. domestic violence, gender equity, employment and family development and trafficking risk.  Women group members involve in income generating schemeshas enhanced their income and livelihood said Local ward chairperson. Similarly, “AHT learning session helped women members to raise the voice against any kinds of violence either from their own HH’s members or anybody else.” told by Vice chairperson of Manahari.

Women’s groups are in focused to carry out the project objective though there are two more groups designed for holistic approach development. Men’s support group and adolescence groups are from the same family members to be informed what their women’s and mothers are learning. This process has made a family very cautious for their family up building through learning sessions and act out for improve livelihood as well be organized for their rights and against the risk.

Men's Support Group

Men support group of target areas havelearned from the session on guardian guidance to their children’s up bringing, how to deal the issues to address domestic violence, gender equity, employment seekers and family development that helps people to be free from trafficking risks. Local ward office chairperson, ward representatives and RM vice chairperson has visited the communities where ETSC Nepal is working they observe the members of groups learning as well give their concerns and input for further progress for the groups members.

Adolesence

Adolescence girl’s group learned how to build creative adolescence. The topic included; youthfulness, carrier development, future goals, anxiety, opportunity and the risk of trafficking issues, domestic violence, gender equity, employment and family development. Women members and men support group members are involved to learn how to teach and fulfill the roles of parents to their children respecting the moral values and social norms in the target areas.
