Self Help Group

Self Help Group (SHG) were formed in Bakaiya RM and Hetauda City Metropolitan Municipality. Primarily focused on saving and credit purpose and the trends of involving in the SHG’s are increasing in Bakaiya and Hetauda. They are engaged to discuss on the SGBV issues as ETSC facilitated them on it through SHG mobilizer.

ETSC staff continues to facilitate Self Help Groups for mobilization and to strengthen SHG. 20 Self Help Groups are received training for their mobilization. SHG members involvement is increasing in numbers and frequency for meetings that enhanced the capacity of SHG members not only in saving and credit propose but have other involvement like meetings, skill activities and initiative provided by local government.

20 SHG received seed money for group mobilization. Monthly regular saving activities are continuing and most of the SHG’s starting to invest in loan process for their members after ETSC has provided seed money for each SHG’s mobilizations. Group members are using their savings receiving as loan from SHG’s is for livelihood improvement like goat rearing, vegetables farming and emergency supports.
